Making Music

I have been an amateur computer-musician since 1997, starting out on an Amiga 1200 running OctaMED tracker.

These days I use a plethora of audio applications, soft synths and plugins to produce my sonic trickery. Over the years my audio production skills have gone from strength to strength, and these abilities have spilled over into podcasting and audio dramas.

These are .ZIP archives containing 160 kbps variable bit-rate MP3 files and high resolution album artwork. They are presented here under the Creative Commons License, so podcasters and the like are welcome to use this material in their own work. Although why you would want to is anyone's guess.

Instead

Instead will probably be my last release, as I appear to have lost the ability to string two notes together.

Never mind, all my creative energy is focused on Gamewank now.

Defiant

Defiant is a huge compilation of stuff I did between 2003 and 2005.

It's a mish-mash of misguided/sometimes moderately successful attempts at serious musicianship/songwriting, and the original soundtrack to my final year film for college.

A course which, incidentally, did not lead to a media career. Fuck college.

The People's Republic of Stuff

The People's Republic of Stuff collects the best stuff I did between 1999 and 2002. However, that doesn't mean anything here can honestly be described as "not a pile of utter wank". Proceed with caution.

The tracks here have been tinkered with to sound as good as they ever will. Unfortunately, the quality does vary heavily due to some extremely poor quality sources and some downright silly production gaffes. As far as sound quality goes, this is the best of the worst.
